BTC Adds Protection for your DSL Modem

BTC has just introduced another example of the service difference you can expect from your local telecom provider. We now offer modem maintenance to help you protect your BTC-supplied modem from lightning damage, power surges, and other problems that can damage your modem – and cause your high-speed Internet access to stop working. BTC high-speed DSL customers, who have our Inside Wire Maintenance plan, can take advantage of modem maintenance for just an additional $2.00 per month.

BTC’s new DSL modem maintenance plan only covers modems supplied by Brantley Telephone. Customers can bring defective modems to our Business Office in Nahunta for immediate exchange. You can also request for one of our technicians to make an on-site premise visit, but if the trouble is not with BTC’s wiring or modem, a $50.00 service charge may apply. In the event of modem damage, BTC DSL customers who do not subscribe to the modem maintenance plan will have to purchase a new modem for a fee.
